Before the ranks, roles, and responsibilities — before the titles of mother, wife, veteran, and leader — there was simply me.
A woman striving to meet expectations, succeed in every role, and hold it all together.
I wore strength like armor and achievement like proof of worth.
From the outside, it looked like I had it all — the career, the leadership, the resilience.
But on the inside, I often asked myself,
Who am I without the titles?
That question changed everything.
It forced me to pause and confront the quiet truth that my identity had been shaped by performance.
It led me through transition, heartbreak, healing, and rediscovery.
And from that awakening, Shez Awake® was born — a movement for women, girls, and veterans to rise beyond survival, reconnect with their truth, and lead from authenticity.
As a U.S. Army Veteran, I was trained to lead with strength, discipline, and resilience — qualities that served me well, but sometimes made it hard to embrace vulnerability.
When I transitioned from the military to civilian life, I discovered that leadership outside of uniform required something deeper — emotional balance.
I struggled to reconcile the high expectations of professional success with the inner need for peace, softness, and self-connection.
Climbing the federal leadership ladder gave me visibility and influence, but not fulfillment.
It wasn’t until after my divorce — when the noise finally quieted — that I began to hear my own voice again.
That was the moment I learned: true strength isn’t about holding everything together — it’s about knowing when to let yourself be seen.
Now, I use that experience to bridge the gap between structure and soul — helping others find harmony between professional excellence and emotional wellness.

With over 20 years of federal leadership experience, I’ve guided individuals and teams through seasons of transition, purpose discovery, and growth.
I’m a:
My expertise blends emotional intelligence, mindset transformation, and transition readiness — creating space for both professional achievement and inner alignment.

Because I know what it feels like to lose yourself in the doing — and I know how it feels to finally wake up to your being.
My work exists for every woman and veteran who’s ever felt unseen in her own story.
Who I am without the titles… is a woman awakened.
And I’ve made it my life’s mission to help others awaken, too — bridging the gap between who they had to be and who they truly are.
